Do you have trouble getting your kids to eat healthy snacks? Sometimes I do… so finding healthy snacks and making them fun for kids is top on my “to do” list. My son is a huge fan of GoGurts, so when I saw this simple fun frozen treat on Pinterest, I knew I should make it! Yes, in the middle of winter I decided to make frozen yogurt drops! Hey, my thought is that they will stay frozen long in the cold weather (brilliant, right?).
What you need:
- Your favorite type/brand of yogurt (I used Strawberry! What’s your favorite yogurt flavor?)
- gallon sized plastic bag
- cookie sheet
- aluminum foil (optional)
- measuring cup (optional, I just used to hold the bag open)
Step 1: Fill up the gallon sized plastic bag with the yogurt.
Step 2: Squeeze the yogurt into one corner of the plastic bag and snip a small hole to allow the yogurt to slowly be dispensed onto your cookie sheet (you can line with foil).
Step 3: Make small dots across the cookie sheet. You will be able to make several rows. They should be smaller than a dime (personal choice).
Step 4: Place the cookie sheet into your freezer for at least an hour.
Step 5: As soon as they are frozen, you can pop them off the tray into a bowl and eat immediately (they will melt in your mouth… and may melt on your hand if you hold it too long).
Interested in making your own GoGurt style frozen treats? I just found a Silicone Ice Pop Maker Set and think I need to order it so I can make my own frozen treats for my kids!
