Toy State offered Logan a chance to try out their small-scale CAT Iron Diesel Train. Well toot, toot, this little engineer was more than happy to review. He jumped at the word TRAIN! When the box arrived, Logan asked if it was for him (he always asks… he is very hopeful that someone sent him something… I think his Aunt Wendy might be spoiling him slightly since he thinks every package that arrives is for him). I told him YES and he wanted to open it right away.
It was like having an early birthday (Logan turns 5 next month)… Logan was excited when the brown box turned into a TRAIN! Open, open, open… oh we couldn’t open the train box fast enough.
The CAT Iron Diesel train comes complete with over 7’ of track, a highly-detailed engine sculpt (with a simple push button stop-and-go function on the engine), a flat bed car with 2 snap-on Cat mini machines (Dump Truck and Wheel Loader), a crane car with moving crane and a container car. Please note that you will need a small screw driver and 2 AA batteries.
Logan needed help putting the tracks together. They snap together, but it takes more force than my little man can muster.
Logan was able to couple up the cars to the engine and aline them onto the track. Then I showed him that the dump truck and wheel loader could be detached. Oh he was in heaven! Logan could pop the truck and loader on and off the flatbed with ease. He played with his new train set for over an hour!
Even his sister, Kira, had fun with the new train. She loved watching it go around the track. Even at age 3, she could push the button on the engine and make it chug.
If you ask Logan what’s his favorite thing about his new train, he will say, “I love the engine… and all 3 train cars.” So needless to say, this chugger LOVES everything about his new CAT Iron Diesel.
