My friend told me I had to read The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner: An Eclipse Novella (The Twilight Saga). Since I loved The Twilight Saga, I was happy to borrow her copy.
If you have read The Twilight Saga (or watched the movies), then you may remember Bree Tanner. Bree’s character was introduced in Eclipse. Remember? The newborn vampire who chose not to fight…the one who surrenders. That is Bree Tanner, and her story is a sad tale.
The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner: An Eclipse Novella dives into the darker side of the newborn vampire world and Bree’s second chance at “life.” Bree Tanner was a fifteen year old runaway before she became a vampire. As a three-month-old vampire, Bree has to find ways to stay “alive.” She follows what Riley tells her and tries to feed without getting caught, but soon learns there is an underlying truth about her new life. I don’t want to spoil the story, but I can tell you Bree brings to light a lot about Victoria’s master plan, how Riley was “used,” and how much the Volturi actually knew about the newborns.
Stephenie Meyer tells the devastating story of Bree and the newborn army as they prepare to close in on Bella Swan and the Cullens, following their encounter to its unforgettable conclusion.
