Tax Preparation… Yes, it’s that time of year again!
I hate tax time! Not sure why, but it stresses me out! Probably because I am a women of many talents and have to take account for each “job” I have held throughout the year. In 2012, I have to go through all of my paperwork for my blog, Mary Kay (which this was my last year as an independent beauty consultant), and ReNewell Body Care (my new handmade body care business).
I’d like to say I am a very organized person…however, I am only slightly organized. Let’s be truthful. I have a box FULL of all the paperwork ready for me to organize. At least I know were everything is!
Are you ready for 2013? This year I want to be more organized, more prepared… so maybe I won’t pull out my hair in 2014!
Here are a few tools I will be using in 2013 to make my life easier and more organized:
Dome Monthly Bookkeeping Record Book ~ I need to keep a detailed record book for my sales and purchases for ReNewell…plus for those of you who don’t know, I need to keep record of all the products I receive throughout the year. Nothings FREE in this world! I have to claim taxes on all products received.
Desktop File Box ~ If it has a top on it, or closes in any fashion, I will forget I even own it! A desktop file box can be used in so many different ways. I would either use the folders and file my papers by month… or get even more organized by labeling each folder in accordance to how I will use the paperwork during tax time. Decisions, decisions… how would you use this box?
Auto Mileage Log ~ With a small business and my blog I need to keep an accurate account of how many miles I drive. Without a complete auto mileage log, I cannot write off my mileage. I keep my log in my car with a pen attached. This way I can document each trip (and I am less likely to forget).
What tools do you use on a regular basis to stay organized? I’d love to hear your suggestions.
