Strange Magic is a madcap fairy tale musical inspired by
“A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”
Logan and Kira loved seeing Strange Magic in the theater…so when I opened the mail and they saw the Strange Magic DVD, they couldn’t wait to watch it again. We even took it on our last trip down south and they watched it on the road.
Fairies, imps, goblins, and elves! This magical adventure features a host of colorful characters including a princess (voiced by Evan Rachel Wood) who has sworn off love, a dubious villain (voiced by Alan Cumming), a slightly nutty Sugar Plum Fairy (voiced by Kristin Chenoweth) and a knight who is no Prince Charming (voiced by Sam Palladio).
The Fairy Kingdom and Dark Forest have a line that never gets crossed! But one day, someone crosses the line and sets off a chain reaction of events between the two sides. Their hilarious misadventures are sparked by the battle over a powerful love potion. This is a tale of true love, not just infatuation. You never know where you might find your true love! It can be in the strangest of places… but remember everyone deserves to be loved.
I love watching this movie with my kids. It’s a new family favorite. Great blend of songs that are integrated well into the story line… allowing the music to tell the story. If you are a fan of musicals, then you will want to own Strange Magic!!!
