Only the finest olives are selected for Pompeian Extra Virgin Olive Oil. The oil from these remarkable olives is produced by the first cold pressing, a centuries-old process still used today. The result is that premium Pompeian Extra Virgin Olive Oil is extremely low in acidity, which accounts for its robust taste and heady fragrance. To fully appreciate the nuances of its flavor, you’ll especially enjoy it in dressings, salads, vinaigrettes or as a table condiment for dipping bread or crudité.
My husband and I love to cook. One of our favorite meals to make is a simple stir-fry. We typically use butter, but olive oil is so much better! It’s a treat for the taste buds!
To start your stir-fry, just add a little Pompeian Extra Virgin Olive Oil to your wok. Heat up the oil on low while you prep your vegetables. (If you are lazy…which I have been know to be…you can use frozen vegetables. Just be careful when you put frozen food into hot oil. It will splatter!)
Once the oil is hot, add your vegetables and stir frequently. As soon as the vegetables are fork tender, add shrimp. (Shrimp is my personal favorite…but you can add anything. If you choose a different meat, make sure it is pre-cooked before adding to the stir-fry.) When the shrimp turn pink, you are done!
While you are cooking you can be cooking your white rice in a rice cooker…that’s what we do. We have found that the best ratio for our rice is 1 cup rice to 1 1/4 cup water. It makes it slightly sticky.
We love Pompeian Olive Oil. It will definitely be a new staple in our pantry. I can’t wait to try out some new recipes with the Pompeian Olive Oil! For some cooking inspiration, visit the Pompeian Recipe Page.
