I’ve been seeing Stitch Fix all over Facebook and Pinterest, so when my friend got her first box…I thought I should see what it was all about!
How to get started…
First, you need to sign up for Stitch Fix. Here is my referral link: https://www.stitchfix.com/referral/5936156 Please note that if you sign up through my link I will earn $25 credit when you receive your first fix (and you can earn credit too once you have signed up).
Signing up is FREE. You will be asked to fill out the Style Profile. This will help the stylists get a sense of where your style is now and where you would like it to be. The currently carry sizes 0–14 (XS–XL) and are actively working to increase our range of sizes so that they can serve more women.
When you finish your Style Profile you will choose when you will receive your first fix. They’ll send you a selection of five clothing items and accessories handpicked by personal stylists on the date you choose. At the time your stylist selects your items, you will be charged a $20 styling fee. That $20 will be applied as a credit toward anything you keep from your shipment.
How can you help your stylist? Set up a fashion board on Pinterest! Here is mine: https://www.pinterest.com/LaughTeachLove/fashion-for-me/ I pin all the outfits I like on Stitch Fix and other sites to give my stylist an idea of what I hope to receive.
When your box comes, open it up and take a look!
Stitch Fix Box #1 — The BIG Reveal

All Stitch Fix asks of you is to take 3 days to make your decision. You can keep what you want and return the rest in the envelope that was in your package. You will only be charged for the items you keep. The $20 styling fee will be applied as credit to your purchase… and if you buy all 5 items you will receive an additional 25% off!!!
Moda Luxe: Brooks Crossbody Bag (Olive)
I really liked the bag, but I have too many bags right now. It had a lot of room and seemed durable. The zipper on the bottom of the bag was a little strange (it had NO purpose).
Sweet Grey: Zachary T-Shirt Dress
I loved this dress. Looked super comfortable and the hemline is so me! I adore the high-low hem. Unfortunately this dress was too tight. Plus, I really didn’t want to add another black dress to my wardrobe.
Margaret M: Emer Houndstooth Straight Leg Pant
Cute, but not me. Houndstooth is just not my style…and they weren’t flattering on me. I did like that they were made out of stretchy material.
41Hawthorn: Lisbon Stud Detail Blouse
Wish this blouse didn’t have the studs! The cut is super cute. It was a little tight around the arms, but over all great look. Again, I wish it wasn’t black…but it had potential.
Dahlya: Poppa Open Cardigan
This was my favorite item from my box! This cardigan is well made and goes with so many of my clothes in my closet.
I bought the cardigan and sent the other 4 items back. After completing the checkout process online, I left my feedback for my stylist in hopes for a more colorful box on my next fix. Since I am a very frugal women when it comes to clothing, I chose to have my Stitch Fix box come quarterly. My next box will be here in December! I can’t wait!
Disclosure: I received $20 credit in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own. This post does contain my referral link.
