Lotus Lane #2: Coco: My Delicious Life
Kyla May, Scholastic Inc.
It’s time to go on another reading adventure!
This time we get to follow Coco and her animal loving quest. This book series, Lotus Lane, is beyond adorable! The best part is that my daughter (Lila, age 6) can read them to me! She is so excited that she can read a chapter book (14 chapters!) all on her own. In this book, Coco uses her cooking skills to save the snails! Yes, she loves snails! The morals and themes of this series is exactly who I want my daughter to become. They are a bunch of cute girls doing all that they can to make the world a better place.
Get ready because this new title is set to release on June 25th! You will not be disappointed! – This would make a terrific gift for 5-8 year olds! This book easily gets a 5/5 from me!

“Lotus Lane . . . where friendships bloom!
This series is part of Scholastic’s early chapter book line, Branches. Aimed at 5- to 7-year-olds, this line of books is for children who are just starting to read independently. With easy-to-read text, high-interest content, fast-paced plots, and illustrations on every page, these books will boost reading confidence and stamina. Branches books help readers grow!
The second book in this fresh new series features Coco. Coco LOVES hanging out with her friends, baking delicious cupcakes, and rescuing animals . . . like snails!?! The Lotus Lane Girls organize a cupcake sale to raise money for a veggie garden to help save the snails. Here are some posters Coco and her BFFs make for the bake sale:
SLIME MAKES U SMILE
SNAILS FINISH THEIR VEGETABLES
S.O.S.! (Save our Snails!)
This book is written as Coco’s diary–with fun illustrations and doodles throughout.”
