This is my story…
Even though my first pregnancy was a nothing short of CRAZY & SCARY, my husband and I desired to have another child. We knew that there was a chance to being hospitalized again…and this time we had a plan! Logan was to stay with my parents down south and my parents would come up here every other week. Well, we got pregnant when Logan was 13 months old. When 23 weeks arrived, we were both thrilled not to be in the hospital, but we knew with a low lying placenta I was still very high risk. Two weeks later I started spotting. This time we had insurance with Kaiser, so I was sent home after each bleed (total of 5…after the 5th one they decided to keep me in the hospital for the remainder of the pregnancy). This time I was hospitalized for only 2.5 weeks…so much better than 13 weeks! Kira was born via c-section on my dad’s birthday…and this time the epidural took and I was awake to meet my baby girl!
My Little Miracle Mission…
I decided to make a miracle happen for someone at the hospital where my journey all began back in the summer of 2007. For the last month, I have been contacting sponsors and collecting items to donate to this one special lady. This experience was emotional, humbling, and inspiring.
my Little Miracle Mission!
$50 into over $400!
Every baby is somebody’s little miracle! Anyone can make a miracle happen for someone else! It doesn’t have to cost a lot of money… you can make something (booties, croquet a hat or blanket)… send flowers (or pick flowers from your garden)… there are so many options! My challenge to you is to pick a stranger and pay-it-forward! You never know, someday you might be the stranger honored with a special gift!
