JCPenney invited me to a Glam Ball!
I’ve never been a girly-girl. I mean, I like to dress up and put on a little make-up so I look good…but I have never been fashion forward or glamorous by any means. My wardrobe consists of comfy clothes that I can wear while teaching a group of 20 first graders. As for make-up, I typically wear a thin layer of foundation, blush, and when I remember I will even put on lipstick.
When I received my invitation to this special event, I was truly excited to see what JCPenney could do for me. How were they going to turn this first grade teacher into a princess?
As we rode the elevators upstairs the 20th floor of the Loews Hotel, my heart began to race with excitement. We were asked to come wearing only foundation and have clean hair. When we stepped off the elevator we were greeted with a sign welcoming up to the Glam Ball.
When we arrived at the Glam Ball we were introduced to our “prince.” Our “prince” escorted us through the different stations set up to make us look glamorous: make-up, hair, accessories, and a High Tea Lunch/lounge area.
My group of blogger started at the JCP make-up station.
My make-up artist began by asking me about my dress and what feature on my face I would like to focus upon. We both decided to go with a smokey eye and softer lips.
Next we went to get our hair done. Since my hair is short, my JCP hair stylist used most of the time discussing the hair products that would give me the look I desired. Erin was amazing! She flat-ironed my hair, then added a powder and paste to give it a nice lift.
We had a few minutes before heading to the accessory station, so our “prince” got me a mimosa. It was nice to sit down and watch the other girls get their hair and make-up done. I’m slightly jealous of the longer hair styles…I guess I better start growing my hair out!
What girl doesn’t love accessories?!?! There was a special room with earrings, bracelets, necklaces, and clutches.
The stylist took a look at my dress and shoes, and within seconds she found me the perfect clutch and earrings to glam up my look for the red carpet. The clutch was the perfect size to fit my iPhone, battery charger, and lipstick.
JCPenney made me feel and look like a princess!
Now my daughter can have her JCP Cinderella Moment! Thank you JCPenney for the lovely Cinderella gown.
Thanks to JCPenney, I was ready to go to the BALL! We left the Loews Hotel for the Pre-Premiere Party in the lounge of the El Capitan Theatre.
