Reaching my goal weight is always in the back of my mind. But let’s be honest… I’m not going to get there in a blink of an eye. My goal weigh is 135 lbs and at the start of Nutrisystem I weighed 184.8 lbs. That means I have about 50 lbs I want to lose. When you think about the numbers, it can be very discouraging. However, you need to focus on the positives.
Losing weight is a journey, a process and commitment to make a change. I am using Nutrisystem as my guide to lose this extra weight… but ultimately it is up to me to make a change.
When dieting or exercising it can be difficult to stay focused. Stop worrying about the scale and celebrate those small wins! What is a small win? Well, for me it’s something as simple as being able to zip up my favorite pair of jeans without having to suck in my gut! Yes! Knowing that the inches are coming off is exhilarating!
One small win for me this week has to do with my trip to Las Vegas! I had every intention to eat healthy and stay on track. I packed 3 breakfasts, 3 lunches, 3 dinners, and 3 snacks. Well, things when south as soon as I checked into the hotel. I hate to bash a place, but this hotel didn’t have a coffee maker or a microwave! What was I going to do? I had to skip my dinners and eat whatever Las Vegas had to offer! Luckily I brought breakfasts and lunches that didn’t need to be heated, so I was able to stay on track for most of my meals. Honestly, when I got home I thought for sure I would have gained 5 lbs. That has always been the case when I go out of town. Low and behold, I only gained 0.6 lbs! YES! WIN! WIN!
So with a weight gain, how will I stay motivated? Easy! I want to see the scale go down again this week. One week at a time.
This week I am off work, so I am going to push myself to get out of the house and MOVE. It’s so easy to stay at home and just relax.
