Hopeless by Colleen Hoover
“Would you rather know a truth that makes you feel hopeless, or keep believing the lies?”
I was super excited to find that a fantastic author, Colleen Hoover, had another series out. I recently read Slammed, a three book series- all great reads (Slammed was my favorite!)
After the Slammed series, I had no idea that Collen Hoover could captivate me all over again….Hopeless did not disappoint. Once again, I was deeply connected with the characters and unable to stopper reading. It is easy to fall in love with the characters. For the first time, it was slightly hard for me to fall in love with Holder, the main “man” of the book. He is kinda scary but SO perfect. He, of course, rescues the damsel in distress. Her name is Sky, a home schooled teen that is off to public school -High School- for the first time in her life. When she is with Holder you will find yourself holding your breath. Their connection is hypnotic, romantic, and addictive.
You might think you have figured out the plot of this book but there is no way you will be able predict this roller-coaster.
It was a little slow to start but once I got through the first couple of chapters I was instantly obsessed.
I can easily give this book a 4.5/5. The worst part… is that we have to wait for the next book! Losing Hope: A Novel, comes out October 15th!
“Sometimes discovering the truth can leave you more hopeless than believing the lies.
In this #1 New York Times bestselling novel by Colleen Hoover, author of Slammed and Point of Retreat, Sky meets Dean Holder, a guy with a reputation that rivals her own. Sky knows Holder is nothing but trouble and tries to keep him at a distance, but he is adamant about learning everything he can about her. Sky finally caves to his unwavering pursuit, but she soon finds out that Holder isn’t the person he’s been claiming to be.
