If you are ever in Pasadena, CA, you HAVE to go to Gold Class Cinemas! My sister took us to see TRON: Legacy 3D! TRON is a classic…and according to my sister “the BEST movie ever!” So we were all excited to experience the “ultimate” movie experience at Gold Class Cinemas…and oh was it an experience. This is more than a movie theater! First of all, you walk in and are greeted by hosts where you check in. Then, you get to travel underground into their lounge. YES…there is a lounge! Order an appetizer, meal, and/or beverage/cocktail. Now, as you probably can guess, this is not a theater for kids…but this is the perfect theater for adults!
Your waiter will notify you when you can enter the theater. Now this is were my jaw dropped! The theater has only 40 seats (8 seats across, 5 rows). Not just regular seats…they are super comfy reclining sofa chairs, set up in pairs so you and your spouse can watch the movie together in style. Once we got to our seats, the waiter offered us a pillow and blanket. NICE! My sister informed me that I could store my purse & coat in the armrest…WHAT! Love the comfort. Okay, so this is were it gets REALLY GOOD… if you needed a drink or food, just pushed the call button and your waiter would come to you! Hello! You don’t have to miss the movie to buy your snacks/drinks. LOVE IT! Oh…and I did push the button and got another glass of wine. YUM!
The wine was delicious! The food was scrumptious! The movie was amazing (though my sister and I both agree that the digital graphics on Jeff Bridges were a little creepy…but still movie worth owning)! Gold Class Cinema gets 5 gold stars in my book!
After going to Gold Class Cinema with my sister, how am I supposed to go back to “regular” movie theaters ever again? I mean, really! I live in a small town with a super tiny theater…it’s just doesn’t even compare!
