Moana sails into theaters November 23rd! BUT you don’t have to wait to start your adventures with Moana! Here are four fun Moana Books for you and your child to enjoy.
(Recommended for ages 3-5)
Moana has a unique relationship with the ocean. The ocean is Moana’s friend. It has watched her grow up and has been with her through the good times and the bad. The ocean knows Moana better than most…and it knows Moana is special.
This is a beautifully illustrated story with simple text that many young readers can enjoy. The illustrations tell the story of Moana so well, that many children will be able to tell their own stories about Moana.
(Recommended for ages 3-8)
Moana will soon be a tale that many children want to talk about. I adore books on CD. When I was a kid, my mother always had books on tape. My sister and I enjoyed following along to the stories. Now I get to share that experience with my own children.
Moana is on a mission to cross the vast ocean and restore the heart of Te Fiti — the mother island. But first she must find Maui, the once-mighty demigod who stole the heart, and convince him to help her!
This is an exciting 32-page storybook with CD that features thrilling sound effects, word-for-word narration, and original character voices from the movie! If your child has seen the previews for Moana, then this would be a great book to read before the movie comes out in November!
(Recommended for ages 8-12)
Inspired by Disney Animations Studios’ latest film, Moana, this middle grade novel features characters and adventures based on the rich culture of Oceania. it includes original content in the form of mini folktales interspersed throughout the story of the film.
This book is a little much reading for my daughter (age 7)…but she loves for mommy to read it to her. I love reading to my children. This is getting them excited for the movie! I can’t wait to take them!!!!!
PLUS…in the back of the book you will find a page of temporary tattoos!!!
(Recommended 18 and older)
Sometimes you just need to STOP, relax, and color! You don’t have to be an artist to enjoy this coloring book…but you sure will feel like one! With 100 images to inspire you, you can let your creativity flow!
Though this book is recommended for 18 and up, I felt my daughter (age 7) would enjoy this book. Together we sat down and colored. It was fun working in unison as we creating our own Moana picture. Not only did we have fun…but we had fun together. A great bonding activity!
