I was invited by Disney to attend an all expenses paid trip to cover the #ThroughTheLookingGlassEvent & #ZootopiaBluRay in LA on 5/22-5/24. All opinions are my own.
I will be joining 24 of my fellow bloggers to Los Angeles from Sunday, May 22nd – Tuesday, May 24th to walk the red carpet at the ALICE THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS premiere and interview talent and filmmakers!
On Sunday night I will be getting a sneak peek at Alice Through the Looking Glass at the Walt Disney Studios lot. One of my favorite places to visit at the Walt Disney Studios is Legends Plaza. There you will find the hand prints and signatures of many famous Disney actors, actresses, etc.
On Monday, I will have the opportunity to sit down and talk to the lovely Anne Hathaway (“The White Queen”), the beautiful Mia Wasikowska (“Alice Kingsleigh”), and the talented Director James Bobin.
If that wasn’t enough fun and excitement… Monday night I will be putting on a new dress and heading to the red carpet premiere of Alice Through The Looking Glass. Before walking the red carpet, I will get to watch P!nk perform “Just Like Fire” and “White Rabbit” from ALICE THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS on Hollywood Blvd. as part of her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
Oh… and after seeing the moving at the red carpet premiere… guess who gets to hang out with the stars afterwards? ME! Yes, I will be going to the exclusive premiere party!
It’s going to be a night to remember!!!!!
In Disney’s “Alice Through the Looking Glass,” an all-new spectacular adventure featuring the unforgettable characters from Lewis Carroll’s beloved stories, Alice returns to the whimsical world of Underland to save her friend the Mad Hatter.
Directed by James Bobin, who brings a unique vision to the spectacular world Tim Burton created on screen in “Alice in Wonderland,” the film is written by Linda Woolverton based on characters created by Lewis Carroll and produced by Joe Roth, Suzanne Todd and Jennifer Todd and Tim Burton with John G. Scotti serving as executive producer. “Alice Through the Looking Glass” reunites the all-star cast from the worldwide blockbuster phenomenon, including: Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway, Mia Wasikowska, Matt Lucas and Helena Bonham Carter along with the voices of Alan Rickman, Stephen Fry, Michael Sheen and Timothy Spall. We are also introduced to several new characters: Zanik Hightopp (Rhys Ifans), the Mad Hatter’s father and Time himself (Sacha Baron Cohen), a peculiar creature who is part human, part clock.
Alice Kingsleigh (Wasikowska) has spent the past three years sailing the high seas. Upon her return to London, she comes across a magical looking glass and returns to the fantastical realm of Underland. Reuniting with her friends the White Rabbit, Absolem, the White Queen and the Cheshire Cat, Alice must save the Hatter and Underland itself, before time runs out. Presented in Digital 3D™, Real D 3D and IMAX® 3D, Disney’s “Alice Through the Looking Glass” opens in U.S. theaters on May 27, 2016.
While in town I will also attend a special press day for the In-Home release of ZOOTOPIA (available on Blu-ray and Digital HD on 6/7).
I will have the opportunity to interview members of the creative team behind the making of the movie including Directors Byron Howard & Rich Moore, plus meet Raymond Persi (Story Artist at Walt Disney Animation Studios and the voice of “Flash”). But what makes me the most excited is I will get a chance to step into the recording booth and voice a character from the film! How cool is that!
The modern mammal metropolis of Zootopia is a city like no other. Comprised of habitat neighborhoods like ritzy Sahara Square and frigid Tundratown, it’s a melting pot where animals from every environment live together—a place where no matter what you are, from the biggest elephant to the smallest shrew, you can be anything. But when rookie Officer Judy Hopps (voice of Ginnifer Goodwin) arrives, she discovers that being the first bunny on a police force of big, tough animals isn’t so easy. Determined to prove herself, she jumps at the opportunity to crack a case, even if it means partnering with a fast-talking, scam-artist fox, Nick Wilde (voice of Jason Bateman), to solve the mystery. Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Zootopia,” a comedy-adventure directed by Byron Howard (“Tangled,” “Bolt”) and Rich Moore (“Wreck-It Ralph,” “The Simpsons”) and co-directed by Jared Bush (“Penn Zero: Part-Time Hero”).
