I was honored to be invited to the #ThroughTheLookingGlassEvent this weekend. Not only did I have the chance to see Pink live (for the Jimmy Kimmel Show), but I got to walk down the red carpet with the stars, watch Disney’s “Alice Through the Looking Glass” with the stars, and attend the exclusive after party!!!
On Monday, May 23rd, one block of Hollywood Boulevard was shut down and fans gathered all around to see the stars of Disney’s “Alice Through the Looking Glass.”
In true Disney fashion, the red carpet premiere of Disney’s “Alice Through the Looking Glass” was held at the famous El Capitan Theatre!
Prior to the stars arriving, Pink preformed “Just Like Fire” and “White Rabbit” from ALICE THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS on Hollywood Blvd. as part of her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! We lucked out and got to stand in the front row. She was absolutely AMAZING and so was her band. Because this part of the show was not live on Jimmy Kimmel, we had the pleasure to hear Pink sing both songs twice!
We danced, we sang, we all were in awe of her beautiful voice!
At the end of her performance Pink pointed out her daughter in the crowd. She looked adorable watching her mom perform in front of hundreds of screaming fans.
After Pink performed we had a little time to spare before the stars would arrive on the red carpet…so we headed over to Hot Topic to see the new Disney Alice line! If you haven’t seen it yet, then you will want to stop at your local Hot Topic to check it out! We also stopped on the Oscar steps to take our group photo.
It was time to join Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway, Mia Wasikowska and Sacha Baron Cohen on the red carpet!!!
Well, I didn’t actually see Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway, or Mia Wasikowska…but I walked onto the red carpet at the same time as Sacha Baron Cohen!
Walking on the carpet is such a special experience. You get to feel like a star (well you get to walk behind the stars and watch the paparazzi go crazy every time they see someone famous, plus the fans go nuts). Each time a car rolls up the the red carpet, the crowd goes WILD!
I’m not famous… but I sure felt like a star! While walking down the red carpet I saw many famous faces, including Jenna Elfman, Garrett Clayton, Veronica Dunne, Max Ehrich, Trinitee Stokes, Melora Hardin, Producer Suzanne Todd, and more!
Once we made our way to the end of the red carpet we were ushered into the El Capitan Theatre were we received a bucket of popcorn, a drink, and our 3-D glasses…because YES we got to experience the movie in 3-D!!!! I will be posting about the movie soon, so keep your eyes open for my review.
After the movie, we had the opportunity to hang out with the stars at the exclusive after party at the Roosevelt Hotel. They offered a delicious spread, beverages, and fun stations to check out: photo booth, make-up, nails, color (for the kids), and more.
The green screen photo booth is always a favorite for fans and stars alike. Who wouldn’t want to take a photo with the Mad Hatter?!?! You could also choose to take a picture with the Red Queen. This was a great little keepsake from our night.
The party was wonderful…but even better when we ran into Suzanne Todd. She is the nicest person and totally hooked us up with a group photo with none other than Matt Lucas (Tweedle).
Alice Through the Looking Glass opens nationwide this Friday!
