Just like everything else, peanut butter prices are going to be increasing!
Due to a bad year & crop failure, inflation has hit peanut butter prices…yes, you will have to pay more for your child’s peanut butter and jelly sandwich in November!
Here are two articles I found online:
USA Today 10/14/2011 ~ Peanut Pinch for Farmers Pushes Up Prices for Consumers
CNN Money 10/14/2011 ~ Get Your Peanut Butter — Before Prices Soar
So…What does this mean for you? Depends on your family’s love for peanut butter and peanut products. If you go through a lot of peanut butter, then it may be smart to stock up now (since the price will increase NEXT MONTH).
Peanut Butter Tips:
If you’re heading to Costco or Sam’s Club, throw some peanut butter in your cart. Looking for coupons? Check out Target 10/16/11 insert, there was a $.75/1 Skippy MQ & a $.50/1 Peter Pan MQ in the September ’11 All You. Or skip the store and order some from Amazon. Here are some deals worth considering at Amazon:
- Skippy Peanut Butter, 15 oz (6 pk) $12.77 when using the Subscribe & Save option ($.14/oz)
- Skippy Super Chunk Peanut Butter, 64 oz (2 pk) $17.97 + eligible for FREE Super Saver Shipping on orders over $25 ($.14/oz)
- Peanut Butter & Co. The Bee’s Knees Peanut Butter, 16 oz (6 pk) $19.85 when using the Subscribe & Save option ($.21/oz)
- Justin’s Nut Butter Organic Chocolate Peanut Butter, 16 oz (3 pk) $16.80 when using the Subscribe & Save option ($.35/oz)
Please note that the prices on Amazon may change. Also, I am not encouraging you to go & buy a 10 year supply of peanut butter, but if you can afford it then you might want to so you don’t get HIT with the high prices next month.
Thanks Because More is More!
