Dave’s Killer Bread started out in 2005 and quickly became the favorite organic bread at their local Farmers Market in Portland, Oregon. Less than a decade later, they are the #1 best-selling organic bread in the country. All of their breads are organic, Non-GMO Project Verified, and packed with killer taste and texture. Dave’s Killer Bread is known for its trademark explosion of seeds, delicious chewiness, and high-quality ingredients. But the company strives to be more than just bread makers—they believe in creating lasting change for the bread industry, their communities, and their employees.
Thanks to Moms Meet, I was selected to test Dave’s Killer Bread with my fellow staff members! After a LONG week of work (including a terrifying fire that destroyed 31 homes) were able to test Dave’s Killer Bread during lunch. I set out all 6 loaves in bowls so they could test each one. Afterwards I asked them to write a blurb about their favorite or opinions about Dave’s Killer Bread. Overall the teachers loved the bread (with butter, with boysenberry honey, and plain). Two teachers even bought some because they had tried it that day! This was a great treat for these hard working ladies! Thank you!
Quotes from the teachers & staff:
“Good Seed — yummy!”
“Good Seed – Organic…yes! Bursting with flavor! Delicious!”
“Good Seed should be renamed ‘Tremendous’ Seed.”
“Organic Bread – Powerseed… Very tasty, not bland or dry! Very Impressed.”
“The Powerseed(s) do not overpower…meaning great taste, but nuts and seeds are small enough as not to overwhelm.”
“Blues Bread…doesn’t make me blue, makes my tummy and taste buds happy.”
“Blues Bread is delightful! Nice texture.”
“Honey Wheat – A+ sweet; Good Seed – yummy – Great texture!”
“21 Whole Grain, oh my! Fantastic texture!!!”
“21 Whole Grain – Very, very yummy”
“As a bread lover, growing up in the Midwest, I was very impressed with the texture, taste and flavor. Nuts & seeds were just right in size.”
Dave’s Killer Bread is available in 12 varieties (we only tested 6…can’t wait to test the others) in major grocery chains across 17 states and parts of western Canada. I can find it locally at Vons and Raley’s…or pick up a double pack at Costco!
Dave’s Killer Bread packs a punch with delicious flavors loaded with seeds, ancient grains, and whole grain nutrition. Each slice also contains as much protein as one egg! A loaf of Dave’s Killer Bread retails between $5.00 and $6.00.
