Sunday felt like a dream… from the JCP Glam Ball to the Pre-Premiere Reception to the red carpet to the “Royal Ball” Premiere Party at the El Capitan Theatre… then the World Premiere of Cinderella (in theaters March 13th)! Swoon… I was on cloud 9!
The Disney Bloggers gathered on the Oscar steps for a group shot before heading to the El Capitan Theatre. We felt and looked like stars…and thanks to JCPenney our makeup, hair and accessories looked the part!
Walking the Red Carpet
This was my first red carpet experience. I didn’t know what to expect, but I made sure that I knew something. I spoke with my fellow “red carpet expert” bloggers and got a gist of what was in store. Honestly, no amount of preparation was going to calm my excitement.
I started my red carpet journey with my fellow bloggers. As I took my first step onto the red carpet flashes of lights from the paparazzi began to brighten the area. Stars walked in the center of the red carpet, while I walked behind them at the tail-end of the group with my friend Stacy from FancyShanty.com. We took our time walking the red carpet, watching for stars, and taking photos.
I have to admit, I kind of felt famous walking down the red carpet with Josh Gad, Jeremy Sisto, and Grumpy Cat. Here is a photo of Josh Gad and his daughter. If you notice to their left is ME! Look…I am famous (on my blog). I didn’t get a great photo of Josh, but thanks to Zimbo I will have this photo to remind me of the time I walked the red carpet!
Jeremy Sisto was all smiles down the red carpet with his beautiful family.
Everyone was excited to see Grumpy Cat! She looked adorable with her Mickey Mouse ears propped on her head to the side. That face, though grumpy, is too cute!
Not a lot of people can say they have walked the red carpet… but thanks to Disney, I now can tell my students that I walked the red carpet for the World Premiere of Cinderella!
We captured our shoes on the red carpet! This is a moment I will never forget!
CINDERELLA “Royal Ball” Premiere Party at El Capitan Theatre
At the end of the red carpet we were greeted with four trumpet players announcing our arrival to the Royal Ball! I may not be a star or royalty, but Disney made me feel special!
Plus they had entertainers on stilts enticing us to enjoy our time!
I felt like a star as I saw actors, actresses, directors and costume designers. At the “ball” I saw Cate Blanchett, Lily James, Richard Madden, Sophie McShera, Holliday Grainger, Director Kenneth Branagh, Costume Designer Sandy Powell, Frozen Fever directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, Josh Gad, Jeremy Sisto, Toni Collette, Ian Ziering, Jason Priestley, Octavia Spencer, Ali Landry, Darcy Rose Byrnes, and so many more!
I relished the moment and walked around the entire Royal Ball to see what events were happening. They had a craft station for the kids, a dance floor, a silhouette station, photo booth, food, and drinks. Di (from FSM Media) and I took a photo near the dance floor only to have Jason Priestley walk right passed us!
It was amazing watching the artists cut our silhouettes out in minutes! Here is Kat from generationsofsavings.com sitting like a star!
Toni Collette won’t remember talking with me while waiting for our silhouettes, but I will! We joked about how my silhouette looks more like my son…still absolutely adorable! This is the first time I have ever gotten a silhouette done, so it’s something I will always treasure.
Wow…what a night. I didn’t want this magical moment to end. I was able to take a photo with Josh Gad and Jeremy Sisto. They were both so nice and willing to take a picture with me!
Thanks to JCPenney, I was able to capture my #JCPCinderellaMoment with their fun photo booth.
Here are some more photos of the stars:
