Having a sick child is not fun! It is worse than being sick yourself! You feel their pain…you wake up with them in the middle of the night…you sit next to them while they cool off or warm up in the bath tub…you do everything in your motherly-powers to help your child feel better. BUT what medication can you use to help reduce your child’s fever.
Children’s Advil Sugar-Free Dye-Free is the only sugar-free and dye-free children’s fever reducer and pain reliever. It reduces fever faster than Children’s Tylenol and lasts up to eight hours with just one dose – all with a taste your children will love!
Intended use is for children ages 2-11 years old. My daughter is 5 and my son is 7, so we will definitely test this medication out on their next fever. At this time I have not used it on my children due to lack of fever (yeah for me… no body wants to see their children sick, so we have lucked out so far this year). I will update my post as soon as my children have use for this product. As a mom, what I like about the promises made from Advil is that the product is sugar-free, dye-free, and last for 8 hours! My children are fickle with flavor, so I am interested in seeing if they like the berry. So far grape has been their favorite. Luckily Children’s Advil comes in a variety of flavors:
- Shake well before using.
- Repeat dose every 6 to 8 hours, if needed.
- Do not use more than 4 times in 24 hours.
- Find right dosage on the chart. If possible, use weight for dosage; otherwise, use age.
- Only use the measuring device that comes with the product to be sure you give the right dose. An ordinary kitchen teaspoon may not hold the right amount of medicine.
