When my kids were in diapers, avoiding a nasty diaper rash was top on my list. Both Kira and Logan had sensitive skin…and if I didn’t change their diapers right away, their poor little bottoms would turn RED. Luckily, now my children are both potty trained. However, we still use diaper cream to sooth their bottoms. I don’t know about your children, but mine tend to have problems when they get sick. Loose stool really aggravates their bottom. I used the Baby Butz cream during Kira’s last episode of loose stool and it help “calm” the redness…and by the morning her buns “felt” much better.
I asked my friend to try this cream on her new born…here is what she said: “I am on the fence if I like it or not. First off the smell is not wonderful. I noticed that it is so thick it stayed on thru multiple diaper changes. I am not sure that is did anything to help the existing diaper rash, but it did protect her bottom from getting worse. It didn’t hurt her to put it on the diaper rash either.”
Baby Butz cream is thick and creamy. It goes on smoothly and you can feel the barrier it gives your child. Note to parents, it doesn’t just wash off! I needed to use soap, warm water and a little scrub brush to clean my hands after applying.
For those parents using cloth diapers…YES you can use this cream with cloth diapers, but it is recommended that you use a reusable liner with cloth diapers.
